Challenge

Traditional bus transit is generally considered an inferior service. New Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)  refers to a set of bus system design features to provide high quality and cost-effective transit services, Wireless control management system is the most importation part for the success of BRT.

Solution

The entry and exit of the platforms are equipped with ZigBee reader. When the BRT vehicles with tag enters the reader-covered area, the tag's information will be send back to dispatch center (master) via readers. The dispatch center will send the station information back to the BRT vehicles. When the vehicles driving toward a traffic light, the signal priority system will allow the BRT vehicles to maintain a high level right of passing by reducing the amount of intersection delay normally experienced by transit vehicles.
